about me

It was in my work as a graphic designer that I discovered that creating tight, overly detailed artwork left me feeling uptight, stressed, flustered, and controlled. Letting go and getting loose with flowing watercolors soothed my nervous system.

It was in my painting process that I found the state of flow where time and space no longer held meaning.

It is the process—not just the product—of painting that powers my interest in art today. The ritual of creating a sacred space with crystals, roses, and music and the sweet surrender of dropping in and letting whatever wanted to flow through me to come through has fueled free and loose work that evokes similar feelings as when the art is being created.

While in this flow state, psychic insights and guidance can also come through, fueling even more creative ideas and a deep feeling of peace and contentment.

I also discovered that watching an artist in the flow creates similar feelings of calm, rest, and ease for others, which led me to video record my process to share the intimate art-making experience, becoming another form of art.

In a world where our nervous systems are more often on overdrive than not, where stress and busyness rule supreme, the art of slowing down has become a rare luxury.

It is this feeling of the flow state that I wish to create and share through my work, whether it’s through someone viewing my paintings or witnessing the process by which they were made.
